About Us

Chapman Global Medical Center partners with highly experienced Bariatric Surgeons to provide patients with excellent outcomes and some of the lowest complication rates in the state. Using a minimally invasive approach greatly decreases the recovery time.

The Bariatric Surgery Program is a comprehensive, outpatient department of Chapman Global Medical Center. Medical expertise and patient education combined with psychological and nutritional support work synergistically to maximize your success.

If you are considering any type of surgical weight loss procedure or simply need to find out more before making a decision, we can provide the answers you need.

Many weight loss procedures including Gastric Bypass and Gastric Sleeve mechanically restrict dietary intake but perhaps most importantly, they change the neurological and chemical signals from the GI track to other organs. Hunger is reduced, food preferences often change, as does gut bacteria and metabolic rate, which makes weight loss is relatively fast and easier than non-surgical methods alone.

Is a partial gastrectomy where the majority of the greater curvature of the stomach is removed and tubular stomach is created. In 2016 this was the most commonly performed bariatric procedure in the world.

Laparoscopic Gastric Bypass

Is a surgical procedure that creates a small stomach pouch from the existing stomach and attaches it to the small intestine.

Revision or Corrective surgery is a safety net for patients who have not successfully reached their weight loss goals, or have regained weight for a variety of reason

Duodenal Switch Surgery
